Full description of the position

The Position

gWorks is currently seeking a driven, energetic, and results-oriented Account Executive who will be responsible for selling gWorks’ SaaS products to local governments across an assigned territory using a value-oriented, client-focused sales approach. This role will be focused on expanding the geographic footprint of gWorks, the right candidate will be someone who loves to hunt for new accounts and educate a market about our SaaS solutions. The successful Account Executive will:

  • Execute a market growth strategy that involves both the AE and support staff such as BDRs and sales leadership.
  • Expertly aid prospects through the buying process to consistently win new business
  • Thoroughly understand customer needs and effectively communicate the gWorks solution value proposition.
  • Develop and manage your pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas.
  • Be driven to stay current in gWorks’ SaaS offerings, their benefits, and the value they provide to our clients.
  • Attend conferences and occasionally travel to get in front of prospects, present to local government council meetings, and speak at events to drive the sales process to a successful conclusion.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts.
  • Track all activity and documentation within a CRM (HubSpot).
  • Be an active user of CRM (HubSpot), Gong, Email/Call Sequencing (HubSpot), and be collaborative with sales support (SE/BDR/Marketing team)

Qualifications

  • College degree in business or related fields.
  • 2-4+ years of on-quota sales experience
  • GovTech sales and experience working with local government and utilities a plus
  • SaaS or recurring revenue sales experience a plus
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle a variety of concurrent tasks while working independently or with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A successful and provable history of selling a suite of software products and services in a committee environment with varied stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, online business tools, and CRM.
  • Loves and is comfortable with technology. Able to learn new technologies quickly.

gWorks is a hybrid work environment, and preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Omaha, Nebraska area. However, highly qualified candidates who reside outside of the local area and are able to work remotely will also be considered.
