Job Description:

Boaters Exchange, a Top 100 Dealership, is seeking an experienced Marine Store Sales Associate for our Retail Store. The ideal candidate is well-organized, detail-oriented, excited about boating and water sports, with strong customer service skills that can assist our customers in our retail store where we maintain one of the most extensive dealer parts and accessory departments on the Florida East Coast. Product lines in our Marine Center include Yamaha, Minn Kota, Power Pole, Garmin, Yeti, and SeaDek.

The Marine Store Sales Associate’s responsibilities include:

• Assist with the day-to-day operation of Marine Store including managing the day-to-day parts inventory and disbursement for the store
• Assist with retail sales and cash register in the store
• Reconcile daily receipts/sales and cash register balance for the store
• Keep store and receiving area clean, organized and fully stocked
• Manage and ensure accuracy of parts and accessory inventories
• Bring competence to our customer’s shopping experience, serving our customers respectfully and efficiently
• Gain our customer trust through selling our products with enthusiasm and true passion; advise customers of products that may improve the enjoyment of their boat
• Provide communication liaison between Service Department and our Store
• Provide customers status updates through continual communication throughout parts and accessory ordering process
• Assist boat buying customers with accessorizing their new boat purchase

Qualifications:

• Strong retail sales experience, preferably in the marine service industry.
• Boat enthusiast with a friendly and positive disposition, with good working knowledge of parts and supplies used in the maintenance of boats and boat systems
• Strong communication skills, well-spoken, well-organized, with excellent customer relations skills, self-starter
• Marine Industry Inventory Maintenance, record keeping, and purchase order processing experience
• Writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office and Lightspeed preferred)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record
• Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work Saturday’s and overtime as required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
