Global Spirits & Wine is currently looking for an experienced sales representative to develop On-Premises and Off premises accounts in the Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond & Tacoma, Lakewood areas as well as Bellingham, WA. We would also consider sales representatives that already have a small book that they represent and who wants to expand its portfolio (this would work best for Tacoma and Bellingham).
The Sales Account Manager's primary responsibilities are to visit the customer, have the right consultative sales conversations, and increase sales revenue. Face-to-face advice-giving selling built on trusting relationships drives maximum value to our customer and supplier partners as well as to the GSW company.
General Role and Responsibilities
- Must have a superior understanding of beer, wine and spirits commodities in on-premise accounts, particularly high-end restaurants and hotels.
- Work independently to make regular account calls on approved customer list, pre-planning and completing both sales and account maintenance functions as directed, providing superior customer service and building strong buyer relationships.
- Create and deliver sales presentations, incorporating supplier/brand heritage, brand features and benefits, competitive pricing scenarios including quantity discounting, empirical sales data, and a convincing quality proposition.
- Must be driven to achieve monthly sales goals including brand focus volume goals, new distribution initiatives and territory revenue.
- Must be committed to dominant performance on company and supplier funded incentive programs.
- Proactively, and rigorously, open new accounts as directed, ensuring beer, wine and spirits commodities are represented.
- Visit accounts regularly, capture visit notes, and build visit plans considering previous visit outcomes and document providing ongoing weekly submission of CRM reports
- Analyzing current and prospective clients’ individual needs, creating effective solutions, and being diligent about seeing solutions and business through
For Off-Premise Merchandising:
- Understand in-store merchandising principles and effectively apply these principles in assigned retail accounts.
- Influence each retail account to use shelf management, cold box, and floor display guidelines to maximize sales opportunities.
- Use point-of-sale materials to increase merchandising success.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 21 years or older
- Able to build and structure customer presentations and product proposals
- Proficient in using mobile devices (e.g., iPad, smartphone) and online communication techniques (email, posting, texting, etc.) in a professional manner
- Highly motivated, results-driven individual with a strong passion for sales
- Energetic relationship-builder with innate desire to work hard and assess revenue opportunities
- Able to communicate effectively through various methods and express self clearly and concisely while appropriately tailoring the message to the audience
- Excellent time-management and communication skills; ability to organize time effectively, and work independently
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own and/or lease a reliable automobile
- Must have previous wine/spirits sales experience
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year + incentives
Benefits: Health, Paid Vacation
