“In the multi-housing industry, a leading property management company has an opening for a full-time Tax Credit on-site Resident Manager in Los Angeles, CA. (LIHTC). This is a brand new 50 unit property that supports households previously dealing with homelessness. Residents are connected with a mental health services team to deal with any ongoing issues and the support them in their transition to permanent housing. A 2-bedroom unit is offered with the position. Manager will work in conjunction with the Compliance Department and the Property Supervisor during the lease up of this project.”
Job Purpose:
Under general supervision, administration of office, Compliance and field support functions, schedules and coordinates maintenance work; maintains history of maintenance work; update and monitor replacement logs for all properties; and performs other related work as necessary and/or as requested. Must maintain the tenant files and conduct yearly recertifications, move ins as required by section 42/tax credit and submit all yearly and quarterly reporting to the various affordable housing agencies attached to the building (s)
Skills and Experience:
- YARDI expertise
- Manager must have a minimum of 4 years Project Based Section 8 and affordable housing management experience. Background experience working with Permanent Supportive Housing is preferred.
- Knowledge and prior experience processing and completing re-certifications at a project-based voucher property.
- Knowledge and prior experience preparing properties for City, State and Investment physical inspections.
- Knowledge of Low Income Housing Tax Credit rules and regulations.
- General knowledge of laws and standards that apply to property management, including Fair Housing laws, Landlord-Tenant law, OSHA Standards.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, fire prevention and other risk-management reduction principles.
- Ability to work independently, organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize projects.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Computer Skills – Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Yardi or similar internet-based property management software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
