Job Summary:
Paya, a Nuvei Company, is looking for a Relationship Manager. The Relationship Manager role will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our largest customers using our payment processing services. This position is similar to a Technical Project Manager role but with the requirement to also build solid, individual relationships with approximately 40 large customers. This position requires a technical background where you must understand API integrations, software development processes, and agile methodologies. The role requires working with an account management team to manage all customer requirements and requests. You will also work with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales, and finance. The key requirements are a technical understanding, strong project management skills, and extremely strong customer communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong, individual relationships with customers. They need to know they can call you with any request and you will work with internal teams to get these requests delivered
- Create detailed project tracking processes and communicate plans to customers
- Collaborate with account management team on a daily basis to stay involved and help resolve issues
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing teams as needed
- Own the feature set and act as the product evangelist to build awareness
- Perform other assigned duties as required by the organization, business and/or clients
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience Managing very large customers using your company’s software platforms
- Strong Communication Skills required – keeping cool under pressure – creatively finding solutions
- Experience working with Engineering/Development and Sales Teams
- Knowledge of Payments Industry preferred
- Ability to define and translate a vision into detailed and actionable plans
- Proven technical competence in understanding how APIs work, how file integrations work, and ability to communicate technical change requests to the development teams
- A proven track record of success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT/technology, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
