Account Executive - Technical Sales
Job Overview: As an Account Executive - Technical Sales, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our technical products/services to potential clients, expanding our customer base, and achieving sales targets. Your technical expertise and excellent communication skills will be critical in understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and establishing lasting partnerships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients. Understand their business needs and challenges, and act as a trusted advisor to propose suitable technical solutions.
Sales Strategy: Work closely with the sales team and sales management to create and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. Will leverage all manner of available prospecting techniques – including cold calling, networking, social media, walkabouts, and more to gain entrée into organizations.
Product Knowledge: Acquire in-depth knowledge of our technical products/services which include cybersecurity, hybrid cloud/datacenter, networking and data center services and solutions, application hosting, and managed services; Understanding their applications, staying updated on new features, upgrades, and industry trends.
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads through market research, networking, and proactive outreach. Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to convert leads into sales opportunities.
Solution Selling: Understand customer requirements and pain points to tailor technical solutions that address their specific needs effectively.
Product Presentations: Conduct compelling and engaging product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our technical offerings.
Negotiation and Sales Closure: Lead contract negotiations with clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Close sales deals and meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system. Regularly update sales forecasts and report on sales performance.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and strategic positioning.
Customer Support: Collaborate with the customer support team to ensure customer satisfaction, address post-sales issues, and facilitate upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Requirements:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business/or related field. A technical background or relevant technical certifications is a plus.
Proven Sales Experience: Successful experience in technical sales, B2B sales, or a related field. Prior experience selling business consulting services, technology solutions, networking and data center services and solutions, application hosting, or managed services.
Technical Aptitude: Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Sales Skills: Demonstrated expertise in consultative selling, relationship building, and closing sales deals.
Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Goal-Oriented: Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to offer creative and effective solutions to customers.
Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events or conferences.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $280,000.00 per year
