Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to lead our sales and customer service efforts. As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for driving the company's sales growth by developing and executing aggressive sales strategies that align with our vision, mission, and goals. You will oversee a dedicated sales team and collaborate with various departments to ensure the success of our sales initiatives. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in sales management, possesses strong leadership and communication skills, and is driven to achieve results.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sales and customer service teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies, including organizing trade shows, external events, and leveraging social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) to attract new business.
- Maintain an up-to-date website and other external-facing digital platforms to enhance the company's online presence and engage with potential customers.
- Collaborate with and oversee outside sales representative firms to maximize sales opportunities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy and pricing structure aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Prepare and submit an annual sales budget, providing monthly updates on customer performance relative to the budget.
- Proactively pursue business opportunities that optimize existing resources and minimize the need for additional capital expenditures.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Communicate cost increases in a timely and prudent manner to customers.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to provide accurate quotes and estimates for tool and piece price work.
- Coordinate customer orders with production, scheduling, and toolmaking departments to ensure efficient order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
- Ensure the timely collection of receivables from customers.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in sales management or a similar role, demonstrating a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Financial acumen with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles to ensure profitable pricing of projects.
- Extensive connections and relationships within the market, enabling effective networking and business development.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to motivate and engage the sales team, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and build strong customer relationships.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities to identify sales opportunities and overcome challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered
- In Person position located in Rochester, NY and requiring up to 25% travel.
- 5 years of experience in sales (Preferred)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
