The Business Development Account Manager will be working collaboratively with the rest of our team, you will build and execute strategy within a given geography to find and develop new business opportunities within industry verticals and within new and existing customers. The goal of this role is to aggressively pursue additional revenue and market share with the services, solutions, and products that we provide.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develops new customer accounts.
2. Penetrates existing customer accounts, building relationships to grow existing business.
3. Responsible for commercial issues and decisions within their account base.
4. Participates in personal growth plan activities.
5. Focuses on account planning/top key accounts/facilities and develop/maintaining territory plan.
6. Participates in overall product training with key vendors and partners.
7. Implements best practices in sales territory and accounts.
8. Responsible for engaging appropriate resources within McNaughton-McKay to further sales.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. Bachelors degree required. Seven years of professional experience considered in lieu of meeting the educational requirement.
2. Three years electrical experience, including two years inside sales, engineering or equivalent experience.
3. Thorough knowledge of products distributed by McNaughton-McKay.
4. Ability to cold call, ability to provide excellent customer service and the demonstration of successful negotiating skills.
5. Effective time management skills.
6. Ability to determine customers needs.
