Summary: Develop Customer Base in the Dallas Customs, Logistics and Warehousing Market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage Sales Process by creating a network to generate leads, execute sales calls, and manage sales pipeline in order to grow Revenue in US Customs Brokerage, Warehousing, FTZ and Logistics services.
· Develop strategy and market the company's warehouse and fulfillment service offering to generate new business relationships, increase revenue growth and present solutions to meet customer's needs.
· Independently generate new contract logistics, value-added warehousing and distribution, packaging, and supply chain/materials management sales revenue.
· Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts by analyzing opportunities, identifying key personnel, and developing strong business relationships via cold calls, presentations, and following up on leads for new business.
· Develop warehouse sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts.
· Work daily with the Business Development team to develop warm leads into new business.
· Build and manage your pipeline of new opportunities.
· Analyze customers’ transportation and warehousing needs and develop logistics packages to perform the necessary duties to successfully fulfill the customer needs.
· Continue with account management after the sale, as needed, with a focus on further growth.
· Identify, meet & develop rapport with target companies
· Assist Branch Manager in forecasting sales in assigned territory, including setting account targets for sales of warehouse solutions, services.
· Participate in seminars and local industry groups in Dallas market
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training & Experience):
· Experience in managing the sales process for US/MX Customs Brokerage, Cross Docking and Warehousing in US/MX border operations and DFW areas (focus will be for Laredo, TX operations).
· Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
· Proven track record with a strong focus on business development including cold calling, setting appointments, presenting, and meeting with potential customers, through to 'closing the deal'.
· Min 3 years of experience in warehousing, supply chain and fulfillment industry.
· Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.
· Ability to interface with all required levels at a customer (entry level to senior executive)
· Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills & strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
· Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability.
· High energy and genuine passion for “selling”.
· Ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function in a team environment.
· Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry is preferable.
