Ophthalmology practice with outstanding working conditions seeks a highly qualified candidate to join the team. We are looking for an experienced optical sales associate to assist with patient care. Job Requirements, Essential Skills, Abilities and Job Responsibilities

Optical Assistant

• Frame and contact lens sales, eyewear measurements, fitting and adjustments, ordering/ receiving merchandise
• Verification of insurance benefits
• Must be proficient with lensometers
• Knowledge of post-operative Medicare, Medicare Replacement Plans eyewear benefits
• Must have excellent communication skills, proper grammar and writing capability
• Team-oriented
• Familiar with all forms associated with the patient’s medical record (paper / electronic)
• Familiar with the use and operation of optical software/ Officemate a plus
• Knowledgeable about lenses, frames and all optical supplies
• Must have proficient computer skills
• Must be able to problem solve
• Must be detailed oriented
• Microsoft Word/ Excel/ Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
