Kirvin Doak Communications (KDC) is looking for a rising Senior Account Executive to lead a public relations team focused on our hospitality, casino-gaming, retail, and non-profit practice areas. This position reports to the Senior Vice President and offers an opportunity to work with some of Las Vegas’ most visible brands as well as be a part of an iconic resort re-launch campaign.

Job Description:

• Drive the day-to-day client activity focused on the proactive execution, tracking and reporting of public relations strategies and tactics
• Develop strategic public relations plans by researching and understanding client products and markets, identifying client objectives and requirements, and preparing and presenting proposals
• Maintain client presence with media targets by cultivating, building, and maintaining media relationships; creating innovative campaigns, arranging interviews and tours; analyzing media coverage; discovering and pitching new outlets and contacts
• Research, outline, write, edit and proofread materials, including press releases, media advisories, pitch letters/e-mails, biographies, reports, meeting agendas and fact sheets
• Manage client expectations by communicating campaign and project status, preparing reports, building and maintaining rapport, and resolving issues
• Manage team of junior staff; assign and track client workflow; mentor basic PR principles and guide them for success in their assignments
• Plan and execute press conferences, briefings, media and special events
• Prepare campaign results, status reports and briefing documents
• Understand and incorporate the role of agency time in managing client activities
• Comprehensive understanding of key client information including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors
• Help build agency business and reputation by growing existing relationships, identifying and exploring new business and client opportunities
• Be a part of driving innovation within the agency including understanding and incorporating future AI strategies into workflows

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field
• Media Relations, Strategic Planning, Media Relationships, Press Kit Development, Verbal Communication, Written Communication, Event Management, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Customer Focus
• Experience: 4+ Years In-House or Agency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
