Job Description:

Sales Coordinator/Inside Sales - Central Region


The Schneider Electric OEM Sales Team, part of our Industrial Automation business, is seeking to add a Sales Coordinator who will be responsible for salesforce effectiveness within their assigned US sales region. Preferred location: Chicago or Nashville. Reporting directly to the Sales Excellence Leader for Industrial Automation, this individual will take ownership of driving orders to completion while actively engaging in prospecting activities as well as effectively coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure best in class service for our customers.


This role requires an agile approach and the ability to prioritize day to day activities based on partnering with our OEM outside sellers to support the needs of our customers and meeting monthly/quarterly sales targets. Activities include but are not limited to collaborating with quoting teams, price management, project managers, product managers, customer care, and other teams to provide intelligence, execute orders, answer customer order enquiries, and maintain CRM data as required.


The Sales Coordinator will also have an “inside sales” component to platform and prospect the zero and low market share customers that the OEM group is targeting. This would include coordination with our business development team in following up both target lists and leads generated by our targeted segment activities including trade shows.


In addition to the above tasks, the Sales Coordinator will work closely with leadership to identify and correct inefficiencies within the sales process. They will be instrumental in gathering and supporting key performance metrics and developing teamwork in an effort to improve customer satisfaction. A willingness to collaborate and connect with other departments is essential.

Key Responsibility Summary

  • Increase customer interactions both directly as well as indirectly (allowing outside sellers more time to actively engage our targeting OEM customers by partnering on back office functions).
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to execute orders, answer customer order enquiries, and champion best in class service for our customers.
  • Inside sales efforts such as lead generation/followup and platforming & prospecting customers.
  • Work closely with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and adjustment
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience

  • One - three years of experience.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions around the highly technical products & solutions that the Industrial Automation group provides to customers.
  • Analytical thinking, strong capability of project management and problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner
  • Excellent communications skills with the proven ability to develop rapport and credibility across the internal organization and external customer base to promote ideas and proposals persuasively. A “customer service” or empathetic communication style is key in that news being delivered is sometimes not agreeable to the recipient.
  • Strong computer skills around standard MS office applications such Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, etc. In addition, possess the competency to quickly develop a full proficiency in Schneider business applications such as Sales Force CRM (BFO), our order/quoting systems (Q2C & SEA), and reporting apps such as Tableau.
