Overview: The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day account management for small to mid-sized clients.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Manages an assigned book of business and builds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients
• Responsible for the day-to-day account management for assigned client accounts
• Assists in addressing the client's risk/capital management needs
• Secures existing business and suggests additional services and coverage levels
• Manages the renewal process for the client and leading the bidding process
• Conducts analysis and comparison of proposals to make recommendations
• Assists with submission of Request for Proposals (RFP) as needed
• Responsible for routine benchmarking and preparation of spreadsheets utilizing data from quotes
• Oversee implementation schedule, complete required paperwork and work with the client to understand and communicate benefits
• Responsible for business agreement process and management of document changes and revisions based on client requirements
• Coordinate, manage, and maintain the online enrollment system for clients
• Educate clients on new and existing online enrollment system features and services
• Continuously keeping up with industry trends and best practices while identifying opportunities for clients to use this information
• Considered a professional in all aspects of employee benefits by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks; participating in professional organizations and is knowledgeable regarding laws and regulations
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Accountable for creating, updating and following all processes and procedures related to areas of responsibility

Requirements:

• Life and Health Insurance License
• A bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field OR
• Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other related certifications/designations OR
• Any similar combination of education and experience.
