Whylie Eye Care Centers has optical dispenser and doctor receptionist positions open at our Des Moines, Ames, and Pella area locations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customers with eyeglasses and contact lenses that match their needs, budget, and lifestyle.
• Fit customers with glasses or contacts using an autorefractor.
• Fit customers with glasses, contact lenses, and/or eyeglass accessories.
• Evaluate patients by performing a preliminary examination to determine the best corrective lens correction for their needs.
• Partner with vision care professionals to ensure that the needs of the patient are met.
• Administer pre-exam screening tests to patients before prescribing any corrective lenses.
• Evaluate insurance billing statements and verify policy benefits and coverage to determine if there are any financial issues.
• Make recommendations regarding which corrective lenses will work best for the patient's eye problem.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:

• Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
