Full description of the position

**Locally owned and operated heavy duty truck and trailer parts business is thriving and in need of a knowledgable and customer service minded "parts counter sales person". The ideal candidtate has experience with heavy duty truck & trailer parts and salary will be commensurate with applicable experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCUDE:

Greet customers professionally on the phone and walk-in

Process customer orders

Research and provide timely follow-up with customers regarding all parts inquiries

Communicate work needs / any issues obstructing work progress to management

Communicate with vendors regarding backorders, freight, technology, catalogs, etc.

Process vendor returns / special cores promptly. Call for return goods authorizations

Special order parts as needed

Attend training classes / seminars as requested

Assist with restocking and organization of front retail area

Maintain clean work environment

May assist with warehouse duties and delivery of parts

Work safe / follow all safety guidelines

• JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and great work ethic

Posess excellent customer service skills

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Professional appearance

Occasional overtime availability

Ability to lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs unassisted

General knowledge of computers

Previous truck parts experience highly preferred; however, willing to train the right candidate

Starting salary is DOE.

Knowledge of drive trains, suspensions, hydraulics or engines is helpful

Mechanical knowledge is also helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• sales / customer service: 1 year (Required)
• heavy duty truck and/or trailer parts: 1 year (Preferred)
