Job Summary

The National Sales Manager manages the promotion and direction of the sales for CRVA services among current clients and prospective clients in a specified region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews market analyses to determine client needs, volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, and develops sales campaigns.
  • Compiles lists of prospective clients for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet web sites, and other sources.
  • Develops all appropriate sales activities to achieve room nights and gross square footage goals.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist in promoting all sales.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales objectives.
  • Attends and Manages industry trade shows to include pre-planning, target marketing, reports and all booth arrangements.
  • Develops strong relationships with Charlotte hospitality community as well as contacts within assigned region.
  • Sells partner venues to prospective clients in addition to CRVA services.
  • Works closely with company personnel to ensure prompt service to clients.
  • Displays or demonstrates services using sales materials emphasizing features of Charlotte.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for events obtained.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Investigates and resolves client problems with deliveries.
  • Solicit organizations and process inquiries in order to attain all established measurable goals.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years related experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, goal oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously. Responsible for adhering to all budget guidelines outlined in the annual budget plan.
  • Responsible for successful and enthusiastic completion of assigned initiatives.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Products. Technology experience with CRM is a plus.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Requires physical activity for extended periods of time such as computer work, communications by telephone, text, emails; and, bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, and standing.
  • Also requires, for event support and coordination, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Overnight travel up to 30%
