Stateside Electronics (SSE) seeks an Account Executive (AE) to join our wholly owned, 25-year-old, subsidiary company, Van Cleve & Associates (VCA) who exclusively focuses on selling audio and video technology to the U.S Federal government, and regional and local law enforcement agencies. The AE functions as a frontline, business development / account management representative who will initiate, nurture and maintain successful relationships with our customers.

In This Role You Will:
- Be a key presence in growing client relationships and business with our Federal Government and law enforcement customers by providing technology solutions that will support their proactive and technical surveillance counter measure (TSCM) efforts.
- Address all product and system-related queries on-time, work with the inside team to resolve any issues, and provide effective communication through the process.
- Familiarize yourself with technology and become comfortable demonstrating it to customers.
- Periodically update other account team members with a short overview briefing on projects; sharing ideas for similar activities with other customers that may lead to new opportunities.
- Maintain the persona of an experienced professional, focusing on success for all engagements, providing expertise in mapping requirements to solutions that can be fulfilled and supported by VCA.
- Work collaboratively with others at VCA and SSE to identify the necessary strategic long-term and short-term technical services and products to achieve the overall success of the company.
- Have a desire to learn what you represent and serve as a Trusted Advisor by adding value as a knowledgeable expert on the technology solutions we offer. Possess the ability to influence, inspire trust, establish credibility, and sustain it.
- Manage key accounts that are primarily in the mid-Atlantic region. You will be based in the greater DC-area with willingness to travel regularly within the local DC/MD/VA area to customer and partner sites and occasionally 2-4x/year across the continental US for trade events/conferences as required.
You’re a great fit if you have:
- 5+ years diversified experience in Business Development and/or Customer Account leadership focused on Federal Level Intelligence (e.g. collections, operations, digital innovation, and science & technology), or equivalent experience as a Government civilian supporting federal government organizations.
- Proven track record of achieving company goals, generating at least $2m sales annually, and achieving key performance indicators. Detail oriented with a drive to succeed. Comfortable being an individual contributor yet possessing a demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and supportive of the team. Experience with maintaining a sales pipeline.
- Tech-savvy acumen with working knowledge of audio, video, RF, digital technologies combined with hands-on familiarity of operational apps including MS Office and commercial CRM. Willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and networking skills; you enjoy meeting new people and sharing with them the products and solutions that you represent.
- Solid organization skills with the discipline to work independently. You are adept at managing multiple tasks, and you are clear on priorities or at least know what questions to ask when you want help to determine their importance level. Have the ability to express a sense of urgency while still maintaining a positive attitude.
- While not a requirement, having a current or previous security clearance is a bonus as we pursue new opportunities with our customer base.
- Excellent logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English. Ability to work as required within different time zones.

- This role is an individual contributor who is primarily focused on the security electronics industry – think pro video cameras, high-tech recorders, interesting mics, and other new tech equipment that supports security and safety.
- The office you will support is based in Northern Virginia so you will reside in the greater DC area (DC/MD/VA).
- Compensation is $60,000 or higher base (DOE) plus commission. There is PTO and 50% health insurance premium paid. As we grow, we plan to add more benefits.
- Our hours have some flexibility, but ideally you should be available when our customers are available. Typically, no work on the weekend.

SSE is an authorized partner with Microsoft, Cisco, Ruckus, and Ring Central. VCA is a well-established company that provides security-related audio and video technology to government agencies. VCA is an authorized reseller for several top brands including Axis, iPro, Avigilon, HP, Cisco, and Dell. SSE has a unique and supportive culture that is Kaizen-based (continuous improvement).
