The Director of Sales – Distribution is responsible for owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets with our distribution partners. Developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting distribution partner relationships.
Responsibilities
Cultivate and drive the success and growth of distribution partners, as well as identify, engage, plan, and develop new regional accounts to represent BAF.- Achieve objectives through effective planning, setting and managing sales goals, and analyzing data on past performance and project future performance.
- Responsible for motivating and advising distribution partners to maximize their sales performance.
- Identify best practices to support new product launches or services into the channel/market and ensure customer service standards are high and continually improving.
- Understanding and articulating competitive positioning.
- Coordinate client relationship opportunities such as project proposals, budgeting, service contracts and work orders.
- Represent and drive company initiatives at conferences and trade associations.
- Oversee opportunity and lead progression through opportunity pipeline reports.
- Complete monthly forecast reports determining revenue vs. goal forecasts to inform management on developments.
- Handle industry partner programs relationships to summon and discuss market and customers.
- Supervise marketing material and programs relative to region and accounts.
- Sell target accounts, identify prospects and create new ideas to generate revenue and new opportunities.
Requirements
- 7-10 years experience in sales/management within the industrial products segment
- Experience in industrial HVAC is strongly preferred
- A solid understanding of the New Construction go-to-market process
- Strong knowledge of industrial distribution partner network
- Technical experience and knowledge of mechanical equipment
- Impeccable communication and presentation skills
- Highly self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Up to 50% travel
