Full description of the position
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of inside sales experience, preferably in an electro-mechanical industry/manufacturing environment.
- Lighting experience highly preferred.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and positive team attitude.
- Capability to use a variety of office equipment such as computer, fax machine and copy machine.
- Strong closing skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong multitasking ability is a must.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Professionally handle a large volume of incoming calls/emails from current and prospective customers.
- Reach out to existing/prospective customers by making required outbound calls/emails on a daily basis.
- Be fully versed on all product lines and also be able to offer alternatives to customers when asked.
- Document all verbal sales/order communications with internal and external customers.
- Enter all necessary data into the computer system and maintain reports for your territories.
- Keep a detailed record of all fax, verbal and email communication between yourself and the customer.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of all stock and product line.
- Fully understand the process flow and procedures through each department for available products.
- Remain aware of all marketing campaigns, promotions, discontinued items, and stock status.
- Provide all necessary information needed to resolve any discrepancies in orders taken and/or shipped.
- Stay fully apprised of all orders and their current statuses by working closely with the CSR who is assigned to your territories.
- Remain in regular contact with your territory’s outside sales representatives, working with them to assist and facilitate customers/sales/projects in the area.
- Validate as needed on purchase orders.
- Qualify and process sample requests.
- Follow up on all quotes, samples and opportunity's in sales report.
- Communicate any problems or special requests made by the customer and/or distributor to the appropriate personnel through customer service.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer comments and/or complaints regarding all products.
- Report all customer complaints to upper management in no less than 24 hours.
- Identify and pursue new customers and projects to increase sales volume.
- Perform others duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
