Position Summary
The National Director of Corporate Event Sales for First Batch reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of the company and is responsible for driving strategy in the corporate and association markets to attain department sales goals, build high quality event products, and hire/train and maintain a talented team.
Responsibilities
● Work collaboratively with the CRO to prepare and present annual and quarterly
sales targets and strategy plans for Corporate and Association Bookings, including
but not limited to:
o Overall department targets
o Individual sales manager targets
o Clearly outlined quarterly plans and timelines for achieving targets
● Create effective sales programs that will increase awareness, promote a positive
perception of the business and improve lead conversion rates.
● Utilize existing contacts to drive business, while continuously networking to
develop new and profitable relationships
● Oversee and manage DMC and other industry association relationships in
conjunction with unit-based Sales Managers.
● Collaborate efficiently and effectively with National Director of Wedding &
Social Sales to ensure cohesiveness throughout sales teams
● Collaborate with Marketing Department to drive strategy and revenue
● Regularly track and analyze all sales and revenue-related data, including but not
limited to:
o Lead volume and quality
o Event financial metrics
o Sales manager performance KPI’s
● Develop annual pricing and sales strategy in conjunction with the CRO of the
company
● Maintain knowledge of the corporate events industry, current trends and
competitive landscape
● Recruit and hire talented Sales Managers on an ongoing basis
● Effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomatically with internal and
external customers and staff in all situations.
● Create new, and maintain existing, event products via collaboration with Culinary,
Operations and Marketing Departments
● Oversee creation of sales collateral and marketing material to assist in the overall
sales process from lead generation to booking
● Work closely with the GM and Events Team to ensure successful operation of the
Events Department
● Work with Chef de Cuisine and GM on continued menu development and custom
menus when needed
Qualifications
Desired Skills & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the
sales/marketing/hospitality profession
● Minimum of seven years experience in sales in the hospitality industry
● Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, Tripleseat
● Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Salary
$90,000-$110,000 annually + significant bonus opportunity
