The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is the commercial interior design association with global reach. We are a non-profit, membership organization that represents interior design professionals, architects, environmental designers, product manufacturers, and their affiliates around the world.
IIDA is currently seeking a talented individual with a minimum of three years of sales and marketing experience. The Sales and Sponsorship Coordinator will liaise with the IIDA Marketing Department; they will create a consistent support system and open line of communication that affords IIDA sponsors a “white glove” experience that sets the standard for membership organizations. The selected candidate will help support the coordination and logistics of programs, events, and sponsorship sold within the IIDA Sales department. This individual will also create organizational systems that support the department in their sales and sponsorship efforts (in-person events and virtual); and help maintain the event and ad sales outcomes.
As part of the Sales Department team, this position will report directly to the Director of Sales. With their contributions, this role will:
- Tracking of ticket sales and execute communications as needed for IIDA signature events: Industry Roundtable and Revel.
- Working with the Marketing Manager, ensure that sales tools (ex: presentations, wrap up kits), are produced & delivered in a timely fashion.
- Ensure leads called or emailed to IIDA sponsorship and/or advertising are responded to and directed to the correct Sales Department team.
- Act as Sales Department support for all sponsored events held at IIDA HQ – in some instances, this individual will serve as the IIDA Sales representative at specified events.
- Execute and layout templates for wrap-up kits and proposals for IIDA Industry Members and sponsors.
- Other duties as necessary including assisting Director of Sales with meeting schedule and travel itineraries.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivialent experience from an accredited academic institution
- Knowledge and experience with InDesign (an Adobe product), Photoshop and similar programs.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines; can handle and move between multiple projects at the same time
- Strong organizational and administrative skills related to file management, time management, and calendar management.
- Ability to think creatively, critically, detail oriented, and analytically.
- Familiarity and knowledge of suite of Microsoft/Outlook products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to articulate ideas and clearly communicate a variety of information to executive/senior leadership to support stakeholders
- Knowledge of social media platforms and how to effectively utilize for benefit of industry members.
- Willingness to take initiative, work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Strong writing skills and eye for design.
- Interest in interior design, architecture and associated creative fields.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
