Brown & Brown Insurance has an exciting opportunity available for an Executive Vice President - Sales Leader in Austin, TX. In this role, you will drive a culture of success, growth, and make a positive difference in the lives of local teammates, customers, and the Austin community.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Set the vision and competencies for each position of the Austin Practice; recruit top talent through networking and professional relationships; retain and develop leadership and direct reports.
  • Plan, develop, and direct the Austin Practice objectives through oversight of department leadership.
  • Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-term business goals and objectives of the Austin Practice.
  • Actively participate in the selling and renewal of business.
  • Responsible to meet top line growth goals and budgeted operating margins.
  • Promote a positive culture of teamwork, and mutual respect and foster a culture that instills “grit” in teammates.
  • Establish, maintain, and cultivate client, carrier, and enterprise-wide business partnerships.
  • Lead the Austin Practice management team in the development and execution of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals, acquisitions, strategic planning, and growth objectives.
  • Target and manage the development, production, promotion, and sale of the organization’s products and services to meet customer and company goals which will generate profit to meet planned objectives.
  • Responsible for the adherence of the organization’s guidelines, policies, and applicable laws.
  • Assist teammates in client opportunities, maximizing carrier relationships and enterprise-wide resources.
  • Position the Austin Practice favorably within the local business community through participation with and/or support of appropriate local professional and community service organizations.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Pursue a program of personal and professional development.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Valid Producer Insurance license.
  • 10+ years experience in various aspects of insurance.
  • 5+ years of progressive Leadership experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Ties to the Austin, TX community is preferred
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office products in addition to insurance industry software products is preferred.
