BKF Engineers is seeking a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator to join our team as part of the corporate marketing and business development department. The primary goal is to build relationships, brand awareness, and compelling marketing communications materials that showcase BKF’s expertise. The role will support the marketing function in performing industry research, developing compelling analysis and tracking potential opportunities. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

BKF specializes in the following market sectors: transportation, healthcare, mixed-use, residential, K-12, higher education, commercial, high-tech, civic and public agency projects.

Business Development Responsibilities

• 
  Initiate, develop and track contacts with new and existing clients, identify key decision makers, introduce Company capabilities and identify potential service opportunities
• Regularly attend industry networking events and actively participate in A/E/C organizations
• Identify, arrange, and attend prospective client meetings
• Coordinate with external collaborators and contacts in teaming and follow up accordingly.
• Compile market research, calculate various ROI metrics and prepare reports for upper management
• Track the Capital Improvements Plans (CIPs) of public works clients
• Perform additional assignments per leadership’s direction

Marketing Responsibilities

• 
  Lead the response to multiple concurrent pursuits by helping coordinate and produce high-quality proposals and presentations, including layout, formatting, proofreading, coordinating graphics, editing/reviewing and production
• Gather, format and maintain accurate, up-to-date firm marketing information
• Maintain and organize Deltek Vision & Hubspot CRM database with project, contact, and prospect information
• Actively communicate and collaborate with the internal Marketing & BD Team
• A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and thrives under deadlines
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines

Ideal candidate will possess:

• 
  Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience within an A/E/C firm
• Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Comparable Degree
• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Active in industry organizations
• Previous experience in business development activity
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven office
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Deltek Vision experience a plus

Location & Salary

BKF supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work. This position will be based out San Diego, CA.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $68,700 to $83,500 annually, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and performance.
