Orano TN Americas is seeking a Sales/Proposal Manager to support the capture process performed as part of commercial sales organization.
The sales/proposal manager specializes in creating and preparing company proposals, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Their responsibilities revolve around producing proposal management plans, devising strategies to identify and secure opportunities, delegating tasks to various departments, ensuring compliance to processes and procedures. They may also produce progress reports and prepare presentations for clients or Orano executives. Furthermore, as a capture manager, it is essential to be able to lead and motivate teams to take ownership in their areas of expertise.
The Sales/Proposal Manager will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Manage proposal response development from receipt of qualified leads, RFIs, RFQs or RFPs through to final product.
- Develop proposal compliance matrix and fulfill requirements through proposal development effort including proposal schedule development.
- Write, edit and rewrite efforts and develop graphic concepts and content and Integrating technical and cost volumes
- Lead color team reviews of proposal strategies, storyboards, win themes and content according to the Orano capture process.
- Provide oversight of final proposal production, including desktop publishing, proofreading, editing, printing, and binding.
- Coordinate proposal efforts with SMEs, legal, contractors, subcontractors, finance, human resources, and sub companies.
- Prepare proposal specific presentations, including management approval slides, utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and various other graphic tools.
- Write proposal narrative through storyboarding, etc. and leverage and re-use current proposal boilerplate information.
- Maintain re-use libraries and ensure accuracy of current information.
- Lessons, document and execute actions to produce process improvement and attain higher success rates.
- Monitor status of proposal development related documents for completeness, compliance with RFP requirements and inclusion of win themes and discriminators.
- Deliver compliant, winning proposals and convincing RFIs. Direct tender, RFQ, and contract management processes in support of sales.
- Receive, review, and extract all needed information from RFQ or RFI.
- Work with finance, purchasing, and other departments to develop cost build ups and P&L preparation and pricing sheets
- Ability to develop, consolidate, challenge and defend pricing sheets (MS Excel) with inputs coming from other supporting groups Can travel and meet with customers or other stakeholders to better understand requirements and/or present Orano solutions

Ideal qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
- 5-8 years’ experience in nuclear or utility industry
- Must be detail and process oriented with customer focus
- Engineering and project management background preferred
- Experienced at building forecasts of costs including but not limited to: Cost engineering and budget forecasting, Risk analysis and modeling, Working knowledge of tax application and ROI analysis
- Clear and concise technical writing
- Ability to operate in a shifting and nebulous environment, able to make educated assumptions to work through gray areas
- Lead multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams to create deliverables on a tight schedule
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint
Experience with MS Visio and MS Project preferred
