Full description of the position

IQGeo provides software solutions to telecom and utility companies globally. IQGeo solutions span the network lifecycle including planning, design, construction, operations, and sales. Our solutions are used by a variety of industry segments including states, cities, transportation, education, utilities, and industrial complexes. To maximize the use of our solutions across a broad set of industries we are looking to build a market development team to identify new qualified opportunities for our sales team.


In the role of Market Development Representative, you will be responsible for researching opportunities in markets. calling potential customers, investigating, and uncovering their needs, their key personnel, and their current usage of technical solutions. This intelligence gathering effort will be a diligent effort to screen/identify potential new customers and feed the sales team with “smart” leads.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, networking events, and social media platforms.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape in order to position our software products effectively.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted strategies and campaigns that drive lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our software products and services to potential clients, addressing their pain points and presenting customized solutions.


Person Specification

  • Demonstrable understanding of sales principles, including market research and demand generation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated and driven individual who thrives in a target-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being proactive and independent in managing your own workload.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Willing to train from scratch, 6 months or more sales or business experience in B2B, high-tech sector; software experience is a plus.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $70,000 to $100,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.


This role will ideally be based at our Denver office 1-2 days per week. However, we support hybrid, remote and flexible working arrangements for all employees.
