About the team
Sales Compensation management at FIS is part of a high-functioning Total Rewards function that also includes Compensation, Benefits, Recognition, Well-being and Performance Management. The Sales Compensation team partners with the sales organization to design best-in-class commission/incentive plans that drive organizational results and support our pay-for-performance culture.
What you will be doing
- Manage the annual sales compensation planning process and project management of the sales compensation planning process.
- Ensure that sales plans have line of sight business metrics and drive intended focus and behaviors to achieve financial objectives.
- Engage with stakeholders to design sales compensation plans, including pay mix, metrics, weights and plan mechanics.
- Provide technical and analytic expertise to sales plan development and ongoing administration.
- Design add-on bonuses and non-cash incentive programs based on new sales strategies introduced during the year or support a special marketing initiative.
- Benchmark sales programs through research, surveys, and analysis of trends to ensure plans are competitive and current.
- Monitor effectiveness of sales compensation plans, identifying opportunities to simplify and standardize programs and processes.
- Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders throughout Sales, Finance, Sales Operations, Legal, and the People Office
- Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Create and deliver clear, concise, and engaging presentations on sales incentive plan design and outcomes to all levels in the organization
- Manage sales incentive plan governance, oversight, benchmarking and plan documentation across the different organizations and teams.
What you bring:
- Typically requires a 7-10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of key incentive compensation systems including any sales performance management systems, Business Objects, Enterprise Data Warehouse and Internal Reporting Systems.
- Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) preferred, not required.
- Expertise in sales compensation design along with a technical understanding of sales compensation plan mechanics and analysis.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and business intelligence platforms.
- Extremely self-motivated and self-directed.
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills to be used in a highly collaborative environment.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, with strong organization skills and a desire to pursue continuous process improvement.
- Ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines, in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
