Position Overview
Fiducial is looking for an accomplished CPA with experience in complex tax services and accounting to join the team at a respected global accounting firm as Accounting & Tax Principal and be mentored by the Regional Manager/Interim Accounting & Tax Principal. As the Accounting & Tax Principal, you will lead the day-to-day operations and developments of our office, and work closely with the location’s team to review financial statements from our accounting services, review/prepare individual and business taxes returns, and provide consulting services to our clients on various aspects of their business affairs.
The CPA/Branch Manager is responsible for all branch activities, including but not limited to:
- Managing the office’s business operations through day-to-day leadership
- Providing/developing product lines and value-added services to clients
- Tax (individual, trust, and business)
- Payroll
- Business Consulting
- Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Additional Financial Services
- Oversee the hiring of qualified accounting professionals to join the team
- Lead business development to grow and develop a robust client base
- Provide timely reporting to senior leadership
- Provide exceptional levels of customer service to clients
- Technical leadership for business and technical advisement to client base
- Work with the Regional Manager to generate an annual budget and business plan for the branch office
- Will be accountable for branch P&L
This opening is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CPA looking to transition from a large organization (big four) to a leadership position at a local office with a “small firm feel” but a large established firm’s back-office support.
Desired Skills/Experience/Attributes
- 10+ years of accounting experience in a public accounting environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience (master’s in accounting or tax + experience)
- 10+ years of tax preparation experience (corporate, individual, and partnership)
- 5+ years of proven experience growing and managing a team
- Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex situations where limited standardization exists
- Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload at a high level of efficiency, including:
- Monitoring production and payroll processing
- Answering technical processing and accounting questions
- Client reporting
- Proven business development experience with a record of generating new revenue
- High proficiency in accounting and office software applications

Education, Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Active Professional License/Certification – CPA Required (OH, KY, IN)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax
