Position Profile:The Sr. Director US Marketing Zanidatamab is a brand lead position that will define the overall approach to market and lead the team that executes the launch initiatives for zanidatamab, a first in class HER2 targeted bi specific agent with a near term development program in biliary cancer and gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma. The Sr. Director zanidatamab role will sit within the US Jazz oncology BU and will report to the VP of US oncology marketing. The Sr. Director will build out and lead the overall zanidatamab US marketing team and core team, as well as oversee work on key strategic and tactical projects/workstreams. He/She will be a key member of the US oncology marketing leadership team; and will hire and on board the zanidatamab marketing team in preparation for an anticipated US launch.
Responsibilities
This individual will:
- Define the zanidatamab strategic plan and oversee launch readiness initiatives for biliary tract cancer as well as (later) gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma
- Lead the development and implementation of the promotional platform for zanidatamab (e.g. messaging, campaign, market research initiatives, etc.)
- Help to develop/communicate a compelling vision and sense of purpose for project teams; assist in formulating long-range and mid-term strategies; demonstrate courage in advancing new, innovative ideas
- Prioritize, develop and implement promotional and disease education tactics (including print and digital promotions, peer-to-peer programming, and key customer marketing initiatives) that help establish the value of the zanidatamab with our customers and contribute to achieving annual sales and share targets
- Select and onboard several key vendors, including a primary ad agency
- Initially serve as the marketing point-person on cross-functional teams, including the Promotional Material Review Committee (PMRC). This responsibility may be passed on to a promotions lead when appropriate.
- Establish a strong relationship with the sales team and other field-based commercial teams to ensure optimal execution; partner with Sales Training to develop a comprehensive and effective training plan
- Develop the zanidatamab ey Customer Marketing Team (KCM) to understand the needs of the top institutions, key opinion leaders, and other important healthcare providers to optimize promotional approach, selling tools and educational programming
- Collaborate with other marketers to ensure an integrated marketing plan for the Hem/Onc business unit
- Collaborate with Access team members in developing and communicating key aspects of the product’s value proposition and other attributes to key stakeholders
- Manage and enhance relationships with many critical functions within the organization, thought leaders, and strategic business partners
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand complex markets, disease states, competitive landscapes and relevant market and managed care dynamics
- Ensure strategic and tactical plans meet compliance and regulatory guidelines and company policies
- Work collaboratively with finance partners and ensure budget is managed appropriately
Background
- 10+ years of marketing (or related commercial) experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with significant in-line marketing experience
- Launch experience required. Companion diagnostic launch experience strongly preferred
- Hematology and/or Oncology experience is preferred
- Sales experience is preferred

Description of Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Constantly operating a computer, printer, telephone and other similar office equipment
- Routinely sitting for extended periods of time
- Working indoors in normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes
- Occasional mobility within office environment
- Responsibilities may require a work schedule that includes working outside of “normal” work hours, in order to meet business demands
- Occasional public/customer contact requiring appropriate business apparel
- Approximately 30-40% travel is required
- Proximity to home-office preferred (Palo Alto, CA, Carlsbad, CA, or Philadelphia, PA)

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $216,000-$283,500. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
