OEM Sales Representative II Business Development Manager - Biosciences Commercial Supply

Biosciences Division, Life Science Solutions Group – Field-based, Business Development Manager, Biosciences Commercial Supply & OEM.

In this role, you will directly impact our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer by providing our Bioscience technologies to diagnostics and life science tools customers on a commercial supply basis for the development & manufacturing of their products and services.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement account specific strategies that align to the business unit’s strategy.
- Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities to sell the company’s products and capabilities to customers on a commercial supply basis.
- Initiate and develop productive client relationships in multiple functions (e.g. R&D, production, procurement, marketing, quality, regulatory affairs) at multiple levels within them (scientists, project managers, managerial and executive levels), as may be vital.
- Actively participate, and potentially lead, cross-functional teams to develop and complete partner opportunities that include adept coordination of legal, licensing, manufacturing, marketing, R&D, etc.
- Collaborate with Biosciences Commercial Supply & OEM and business unit partners to develop business/partnership frameworks for large, complex, often multi-year mutually beneficial partnerships. Make highly informed judgments of value to the customer upon which to develop financial terms for highly customized products, for which easy benchmarks are often unavailable. Negotiate other business terms and conditions.
- Supervise and manage contracts and relationships with clients.
- Determine partner needs, respond to inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely fashion.
- Investigate product issues and ensure satisfactory resolution of customer complaints.
How will you get here?
Education
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in any life science
- Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred
Role success profile
Experience
- Prefers 1 plus years of proven sales experience, including:
- Lead development
- Sales funnel management
- Time and Territory management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors
- Understanding of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Life Science Solutions product portfolio
- Ability to work well in a team and matrix atmosphere
- Shows skill with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentations required
- Knowledge of applications which as microarray and next generation sequencing a plus
- Knowledge
- Molecular technologies and applications such as qPCR, Microarray, & NGS, immuno-based technologies and applications such as ELISA, bead-based assays, & lateral flow
- Understanding of commercial use market drivers in the Life Science Tools, Immunodiagnostics and Molecular Diagnostics spaces
- Navigating complex accounts with multiple internal and external partners
- Skills

Location
- Remote, field based.
- up to 50% travel
Benefits:
The salary range estimated for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 base pay, this position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
