Inside Sales Position Duties
Requires experience in slit coil processing
The Inside Sales professional will service and sell to the needs of the customer assigned to by management. They will either manage the account in tandem with an outside sales professional or handle individually as an Inside only account. When working together they are to have cohesiveness of information and serve the customer as ONE VOICE! This is not a transactional position, you will be actively involved in the account management!
Attention to details and the ability to document is paramount!
You will be given responsibilities for account management as if it were your own business so it must be treated that way!
Responsibilities include:
Managing the day to day customer account requirements
Responding to Customer questions, issues, quotations in timely manner
Working as a team with the Outside Sales member and making sure they have enough information to that you both become ONE VOICE
Communication with customer via phone, e-mail or customer visits at customer facility
Solid written skills are paramount
Working in tandem with Outside Sales to bring a clear picture of what is happening with the customer to management.
Customer Inventory Management and Forecasting of Customer material using outside and inside sales perspectives as well as customer input, history. Inside Sales to monitor inventory, usage rates high or low as compared to forecast and communicate to appropriate personnel
Order entry mechanics and practical application
Maintaining proper pricing of customer orders
Responsible for identification of orders to ship, getting them allocated to material and using the systems in place to facilitate the shipment
Understanding and maintaining the integrity customer specifications
Proficiency with respect to interpretation and functional mechanics of the various screens and sources of information within the information technology systems which includes but not limited to:
Customer Forecast Screens
Purchasing Screens
Customer Screens
Productions screens
Daily interface with Allocation Department to get orders slit, approve yields, coil sizes, ship dates, emergencies, etc.
Inventory Management
Working knowledge of the customer Claims process including:
Providing support documentation
Communicating customer issues with outside sales in order to approach customers with problem identification and solutions as ONE VOICE!
Inside and Outside representatives are responsible to work collectively in order to address issues and formulate corrective actions.
Understanding and functional knowledge of customer applications
Support outside sales in identification of new opportunities through cold calling or other means.
Work as a team in lead generation
Requires an understanding of customer accounts beyond the transactional
