Third-Party Logistics Provider in Chattanooga, TN.

The Cross-Border (MX) Freight Operations Manager will be responsible for centralizing operations and building a cross-border MX department alongside the Strategic Solutions Team. This role will be onsite in Chattanooga, TN.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategy to build, grow and accelerate our Mexico cross-border service offering.
• Manage strategy and development of MX team in continued selling and onboarding of new customers.
• Maintain understanding of paperwork, processes and procedures involved in cross-border freight; including but not limited to customs, transload and through-trailer operations.
• Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Leadership to build an operational team specializing in cross-border service offering.
• Develop a book of business leveraging strategic carrier networks.
• Maintain and grow long-term relationships with customers while solving operational issues.
• Negotiate freight rates with customers and carriers by being a market expert
• Responsible for key metrics including team revenue and gross margin.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience in freight brokerage, specializing in cross-border freight.
• 1+ years of managing a team
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English and Spanish
• Deep knowledge of all paperwork and processes necessary for successful cross-border freight moves.
• Demonstrated market awareness and ability to price accordingly
• Excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to collaborate with management and develop customer relationships
• Strong organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
