JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Client Consultant is primarily responsible for providing the support for our manufacturers representatives, customers, and outside sales force. As well as performing other duties that may be required to support the sales growth initiatives that are in place for the company as whole. He or she will communicate daily with Richards Industrials manufacturers Reps assisting them with technical support, quoting products, expediting orders, working on projects, and other customer support duties that may be required. The successful candidate will work closely with Reps, RSMs, direct customers and end-users as well internal departments such as Engineering, Planning, Production and Assembly. Having solid working relationships with those they work with is a key factor in helping to grow sales and provide a positive customer experience.
Objectives for a Client Consultant:
- A technical understanding of Richards Industrials products across all lines to assist representatives and customers with the application and selection of products for purchase.
- Communicate with customers, representatives, and others within the company effectively and professionally with quoting, expediting, technical questions and other product inquiries that are requested.
- Work as a positive team member in the Sales Department supporting in other areas as needed such has handling incoming calls, writing up orders, and other supportive duties that may be required.
- Be able to navigate and be proficient in various systems and tools used to perform the main duties, such as the AS400, Microsoft tools, Sizing programs, APEX, and Scanner system.
- Be able to understand the basic concepts of Manufacturing and Production Planning to support the daily duties of quoting and expediting.

- Using the knowledge gained to provide accurate and prompt information to representatives and customers requesting assistance.
- Being able to be adaptable and a team player within the department to support the Inside Sales group as a whole.
- Have solid relationships with the REPs that they are responsible for and work cohesively with other employees within the organization.
- Provide excellent customer support to all contacts, be responsive and action-oriented when opportunities arise.
- Have a sense of urgency with the Representatives & Customers when assisting them.
- Perform the duties required that support the Representatives, Customers, and Company consistently, such as informing customers of late orders, putting quotes in the quote log, attending production meetings, and other duties that might be defined.
- Being an expert in their covered territory and working closely with the RSMs and Product Managers to support sales growth.
- Accurate quotes provided to be in line with the ideal margin and pricing strategies in place or as negotiated for projects when needed.
- A desire and willingness for continuous product training and professional growth.
- Practice in perfecting the nuances of the position in terms of pricing and product selection accuracy, order-checking and Representative communication.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product Knowledge
- Overall technical understanding of Richards Industrials products with the ability to advise and assist representatives and customers in the purchase and application of these products.
- Ability to train Manufacturers Reps on pricing, Rep access, Sizing and other support processes that aid them.
1.3 Ability to use the resource tools provided to find product details that aid in product selection for quoting. Such a drawings database, Engineering Tools, Work Instructions, and other support documents.
- Communication Responsibilities
- Handle and prioritize heavy incoming email communications and phone calls from the representatives and customers within your assigned territory of responsibility.
- Communicate with customers and reps professionally, positively, clearly and accurately about all aspects of the sales exchange (pricing, performance capabilities, support capabilities, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact cooperatively with other departments employees in the execution of your daily responsibilities (quoting, expediting, valve selecting, etc.).
2.4 Ability to cover other territories effectively when a team member is out of the office.
- Sales Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations / bid packages as required by representatives within your area of responsibility in accordance with accepted company margin levels and delivery capabilities.
- Understand and demonstrate proficiency in the use of the sales tools at your disposal (Price List, JVPD, Sizing Programs, Quote Log, etc.).
- Demonstrate an understanding of the standard manufacturing process and paperwork flows so as to recognize and highlight orders requiring special handling outside of the normal standard operating processes.
- Ability to write-up and verify entry accuracy of customers order with 100% surety.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize a constantly changing workload so as to optimize sales and support.
- Be cross trained in various areas such as order entry, phone, and exporting.
- Work with Management and Leadership when necessary to support the implementation of defined strategic planning initiatives that are defined for future company growth.
- Understand the basic workings of Lean/Continuous Improvement and how it relates to company as whole and the direct correlation with regards to Inside Sales.
- Actively attend and participate when needed in any Continuous Improvement initiatives that may be performed, such as a Kaizen or layout event. Attend daily huddles when scheduled and maintain 5S standards in working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Four-year college degree or equal work experience.
SKILLS, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Detail oriented and analytical skills.
- Technical aptitude and interest.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to handle several tasks at one time in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Excellent Time Management skills
Bilingual in conversational and written in either Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese a plus.
