Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Representative (BDR) acts as the first point of contact for potential customers interacting with Fastpath. They are responsible for generating leads through outbound prospecting activity, producing quality leads for the Fastpath Sales team. In conjunction with the Marketing team, the BDR will research prospective customers, create outreach strategies, and identify new sales opportunities. The BDR will conduct exploratory conversations with prospects, using their business acumen to identify how Fastpath could help their business, and successfully position Fastpath’s value proposition.


This is a remote opportunity; candidates can be located anywhere in the United States. For candidates located in Des Moines, IA or Colorado Springs, CO hybrid work is available.


What You'll Do:

  • Prospect, educate, qualify and develop target accounts and inbound leads to create and deliver sales-ready demo meetings and opportunities using discovery calls/ email strategies
  • Nurture and develop leads through outbound prospecting via phone calls, emails, social selling (LinkedIn), events and campaigns
  • Identify and develop an in-depth understanding of lead generation process, work closely and collaboratively with both Marketing and Sales to develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies
  • Work alongside marketing on cold/warm outreach to targeted segments
  • Use HubSpot to track activity and update account/contact information
  • Facilitate marketing campaigns by driving attendance to and attending marketing events (webinars, conference presentations, trade shows) and proactively follow up on all invitations, registrants, attendees and prospects
  • Provide feedback to sales and marketing management regarding lead quality and marketing campaign effectiveness
  • Acquire & maintain a working knowledge of Fastpath solutions to become a trusted advisor to prospects

What We're Looking For:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a commercial role within a SaaS environment
  • Self-motivated and dynamic team-player with high attention to detail and the ability to create and multi-task
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic and a strong desire to win
  • You have a passion for the customer, software and scale-ups
  • Experience with HubSpot and ZoomInfo (or marketing automation tools such Salesforce)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to interact effectively with prospects and customers remotely using phone, email, and other technologies.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and adjust to meet business needs while working independently

How You’ll Be Rewarded:

  • Competitive Base Pay with Monthly Commissions
    • Potential OTE: $57,000-$67,000
