Full description of the position
COMPANY OVERVIEWOur client is a leader in the commercial and industrial HVAC contracting business with multiple offices located throughout the US. They are seeking a Commercial HVAC Project Sales Representative for their Aurora or Schaumburg office (Metro Chicago). Qualified candidates must maintain the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.
The overall responsibility of the HVAC Account Manager is to seek out, develop, estimate, sell, organize, and manage commercial and industrial HVAC installation and retrofit projects. Project types will consist of both plan and spec and design build so extensive technical knowledge in both the commercial and industrial HVAC trades is required.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT?
1. 5+ years of experience in sales in the HVAC industry (OEM or manufacturer rep or HVAC service)
2. Technical knowledge of commercial & industrial HVAC systems and applications
3. Drive and ambition to make money while taking care of the customers needs
4. Ability delivering effective sales solutions/presentations at all levels (facility manager/property manager/CEO/GCs); able to bring the technical talking points down to laymens terms
5. Can prospect for sales opportunities within a customer base as well as developing opportunities outside of customer base
6. Engineering degree preferred, or industry experience in lieu of degree
ROLE
As a HVAC Account Manager, you will market the company to new and existing clients and develop turnkey solution including estimating / proposal presentation for mechanical retrofit projects in commercial and industrial markets.
Sales:
Redeeming the yearly sales goal for projects and maintenance
Managing existing customers for maximum retention
Enhance sales productivity by enabling insuring completeness, timeliness and effectiveness of sales processes
Utilize Salesforce daily to track customers and quotes
Track and analyze key metrics including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment
Monthly review of actual performance vs month to date and year to date plans
Operations:
Work with Service Manager to maximize gross profit on service projects
Ensure all booking packages are complete and accurate
Assist receivables in the collection of overdue invoices
Business Development:
Work with the Maintenance Sales Reps (MSRs) to build maintenance contract base with the sale of customized maintenance agreements
Continuing to build the maintenance base by networking and referrals
Build customer loyalty through relationships and analytics
Company Relations
Build and maintain rapport and positive relations with field, office and management personnel to resolve problems, exploit opportunities and maximize profits.
Safety
Promotes safe work practices in the field by involving the Safety Department to ensure appropriate safety measures for Service Technicians are accounted for in price quoting.
Uses safe work practices in the office and promotes safe work practices in the field.
Notifies supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
Complies with all Company safety policies & procedures.
COMPENSATION & LOCATION
This position will be based out of Metro Chicago (Aurora or Schaumburg). This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that will include a base salary, aggressive commission plan, monthly auto allowance, and comprehensive benefits.
