Full description of the position

We are looking for a dynamic individual with experience leading and managing Territory sales professionals. The Director of Sales will work remotely and travel about 30% of time to locations in the US (Texas, California, Florida, North Carolina, Chicago). You will be responsible for setting the vision, developing, and overseeing all team members and the strategies of the sales department. Develops key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans. This position is responsible for overseeing all sales department functions including planning, optimizing, implementing, and analyzing sales strategies activities. This position is key to future growth and will be responsible for the top-to-bottom management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes the planning and strategies of the sales operations and delivers revenue, margin, and net profitability goals.
  • Develops and implements sales tactics to enhance customer’ accounts, acquire new clients and market influencers, and to achieve revenue and marketing growth objectives.
  • Creates new approaches to problems or innovations to establish best practices optimizing processes with the objective to improve revenue.
  • Manages sales forecast, pipeline, and revenue expectations; monitor KPIs for analysis and predictability of the sales business.
  • Reports sales KPIs to Subsidiary Director and follows Subsidiary Director directions.
  • Defines budget and goals along with Subsidiary Director. Generates sales reports and other reports as required by management.
  • Supports and assists in the development of Country annual plans and strategies and of the quarterly strategies reviews.
  • Formulates and completes rebate agreements and sales proposals for customers.
  • Conducts revisions and approvals of all corresponding sales promotions and oversees clients’ conditions.
  • Develops independent agents’ conditions and agreements.
  • Drives continued innovation and best practice implementation, regularly sharing knowledge with the sales team and other company executives.
  • Actively supports and build relationships with all departments and external entities.
  • Drives the department strategies with a leadership approach of developing, coaching, and mentoring all team members.
  • Executes the delegation of responsibilities and distribution of job within team members to encourage development while retaining accountability and responsibility for the quality of work.
  • Hires sales members for the department in conjunction with HR guidance, company policies and best practices.
  • Develops training and development programs for the sales team and their optimal performance. Ensures trainings are accomplished.
  • Evaluates performance of all team members and partners with HR and Subsidiary Director to ensure all policies and procedures are followed accordingly. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive following HR guidance and company policies.
  • Oversees sales teamwork schedules to include management of time off.
  • Manages conflict resolutions and ensure sales team accomplish job objectives and comply with company policies and processes. Actively removes barriers and solve relationship issues within the team.
  • Handles disciplinary actions and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with HR guidance and company policy.
  • Establishes structures and processes to ensure teamwork, collaboration, effective communication, and administrative procedures that are aligned with the business need.
  • Maintains a proactive approach to remain current with new advances in the industry, sales approach, competitive landscape, and new trends.
  • Follows all company’s policies and procedures, leads by example, and performs any other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Sales experience required and preferably in a related industry.
  • Previous experience of 5 years managing a sales team or related experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to maintain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge on the company product and service.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong decision maker and leadership capabilities are a must.
  • Proven record of strategic plan development and results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
