Full description of the position

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Key Account Manager’s primary responsibility is to sell, grow and develop National Food Service Accounts utilizing Sector Customer Value Propositions to realize significant profitable value for Diversey while ensuring strong Customer value and partnership. This role will be responsible for managing existing and new Key Account relationships within the US. The Key Account Manager must comfortably interface with key decision makers within the customer accounts as well as Customer Operational Management and enjoy building new customer relationships. This role will also be responsible for increasing the overall profitability of the current Food Service business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop Customer Growth Plan:
  • Create a detailed, business plan identifying customer opportunities and profitable sales growth plans for assigned customers and identified prospective accounts.
  • These detailed plans provide the framework for customer retention, growth, and competitive threat mitigation.
  • They encompass Customer Management relations as well as site-specific locations.
  • Must be able to present & communicate Diversey Value Propositions to customer senior management.
New Business Development:
  • Presents appropriate Diversey Value Propositions to key national prospects to secure new, profitable business.
  • Will work through selling cycles and negotiations.
Preserve & Grow Existing Business:
  • Collaborate with Food Service Leaders and Diversey support functions to ensure profit & Value Propositions.
  • Must drive engagement with customers at all levels to ensure all new & existing needs are understood and all key stakeholders recognize the value delivered.
Account Management:
  • Provide management of current accounts, daily activities, and priorities, and manage KPIs to meet the needs of customer expectations regarding service and sales support.
  • Provide needed customer training and support as needed.
  • Contribute to and actively manage Sales funnel - Reporting of activity, with sales budgeting, forecasting, and expenses.
Collaborate with Global and Regional Sector colleagues:
  • Collaborate with Diversey Sector leadership and sales personnel globally to ensure effective & consistent delivery of Value Propositions to key customers - including value-added services such as training, service, support, and supply delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience minimum in a B2B Business Development role, preferably in the Food Service, Hospitality, or Lodging market
  • Ability to Travel 25%
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Proven Business Development experience acquiring complex customers & delivering results
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate plans into actions
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate at the national level of organizations, along with the ability to sell at the operational level.
  • Experience with business planning
  • Demonstrated ability to work with teammates, both direct & indirect teams
  • Excellent presentation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree
  • Chemical sales experience
SALARY & BENEFITS:
  • The current pay range for this position is $80,000 to $136,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon, but may not be limited to, the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
  • For 2023, this position is eligible to participate in the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) in accordance with the plan document.
