The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for prospecting in geographically defined markets that are strategically aligned with three Account Executives. The BDE goal is to identify opportunities and develop the leads up to the setting of an appointment for the Account Executive to meet the prospect.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact by phone and email with key personnel up to, and including, C-Level executives
- Self-generate high-value leads by collecting business intelligence and identifying key decision-makers
- Qualify inbound marketing sourced leads
- Work with experienced sales reps to identify and set meetings with high-quality prospects
- Solution selling; effectively present solutions through cost-benefit analysis
- Present a streamlined technology solution developing a detailed analysis of customized needs in challenging areas and lanes
- Close, activate, and train decision-makers on our exclusive shipping platform
- Utilize company sales tools such as ZoomInfo, Salesforce, and other phone/email marketing tools.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1+ years of sales experience required and preferably 1+ years of third-party logistics, trucking, or freight forwarding experience
- A competitive and motivated mindset and a passion for new business development.
- Proven success in generating/qualifying leads through prospecting new business with a ‘hunter’ mentality
- Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills
- High energy, with a passion for your personal brand and the ability to carry yourself like an executive
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Effective communicator with strong business acumen and intuition
- Attention to detail to drive profitability
- Ability to think strategically about the personal impact on the client's long-term business strategy
- Team-oriented peer, with a thirst to compete to be the most valuable player
WHAT WE OFFER:
- A base salary of $60,000-80,000
