Our interdisciplinary team uses expertise in medicine, software, Big Data, machine learning, public health and mathematics to transform records from a diverse set of sources into enriched, research grade data which allows us to generate unique insights in a variety of disease areas.
As a member of our Business Development and Sales team at OM1, you will be responsible for researching companies and their markets and generating / qualifying sales opportunities. You will work closely with OM1’s marketing and sales teams to formulate and execute on a structured, methodical outreach and lead qualification plan. You must be a persistent self-starter with the ability to generate initial interest and determine needs and strategies for potential customers. We are looking for a highly organized, collaborative team player who is a fast learner given the cross-functional nature of our company and the technical nature of the products we sell. Most importantly, you must be extremely motivated, capable of breaking into ‘tough to crack’ accounts and advancing customer discussions to the next stage.
What You'll Do at OM1
- Research prospects and help prepare Account Executives for all meetings scheduled on their behalf
- Build outbound campaigns, in partnership with Account Executives, to engage target organizations and personas proactively via email, calls, LinkedIn etc.
- Execute a high volume of outbound prospecting calls and/or emails targeted towards biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies.
- Present OM1’s product offerings in a compelling and articulates advantages
- Develop best practice operating strategies and optimize the BDR program to achieve performance targets and drive ROI
- Develop and implement a scalable, iterative full-stack outreach process for target markets
- Collaborate with our business development, research and product teams to develop solutions for customer needs

- You have at least 2 years’ experience working in a market-facing role such as growth equity, market research, inside sales, or sales development
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
