Full description of the position

We are hiring a Director of Sales at our Brand New Hotel - Homewood Suites located in the 1st Ward of Charlotte, NC.

Concord Hospitality is seeking an experienced Sales Director for our brand new Homewood Suites - 1st Ward, in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a 13-story upscale, extended-stay hotel that has 209 suites for guests, 4,000 square feet of street-level retail area, 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting and pre-function space, an expanded fitness center, a pool and a lounge with a large outdoor terrace. It is close to the UNC Charlotte Center City campus, Spectrum Arena, Bank of America Headquarters, and the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest quality of service to our customers at all times.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets.
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive landscape knowledge.
  • Guide sales and marketing efforts as well as advertising tasks, public relations and administrative reporting.
  • Define and implement sales and marketing activities according to the Marketing Plan.
  • Prioritize, document, and organize work to meet deadlines .

Qualifications:

  • Prior Director of Hotel Sales Experience (2+ years).
  • Prior Hilton experience preferred.
  • New hotel opening sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to maximize revenue and have a good understanding of Revenue Management.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • Savvy in digital marketing and strong overall marketing background.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial and competitive data to make informed decisions.
  • Prior experience leading, motivating and managing successful sales teams.
