Now Hiring - Loesel-Schaaf Insurance Agency - Commercial Insurance Customer Service/Account Manager in Erie, PA

• Service/Manage a designated book of business including: analyze the needs of clients, evaluate and answer questions regarding coverages, billing, etc., advise clients on how to successfully leverage the product/service based on their unique needs as well as obtain information and documentation from new and existing clients.
• Provide technical support to producers to assist clients and reach the agency’s strategic business goals.
• Maintain relationships with multiple companies/underwriters to obtain quotes, endorsements, etc.
• Produce binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, ID cards and other related items.
• Prepare renewal and new business proposals in conjunction with producer.
• Assist clients in submitting first reports of claims and follow up on claim status, keeping the client informed.

• Receive walk in payments, verifies acceptability and processes payments.
• Process and follow up on cancellations.
• Verify accuracy of direct billed accounts when needed.
• Review audits for accuracy.
• Renew policies according to agency standards/procedures.
• Process incoming email and mail requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School diploma and advanced education preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years commercial or personal property & casualty insurance experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Performs duties independently with little or no supervision. Decisions are made within general agency constraints and insurance laws, and may require independent decision-making.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to explain complex issues. Also, to receive and interpret complex information.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance products and usage including insurance markets and reference to markets.
• Thorough technical knowledge of commercial and property insurance, including an understanding of various insurance forms and risk alternatives. Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures.
• Must maintain professional demeanor while being committed and self-motivated.

Required Skills

• MS Office including proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn other software programs as needed
• People skills with a passion for delighting customers with above and beyond service
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Independent decision making and analytical thinking
• Excellent time-management and prioritization skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Task-oriented follow up

Qualifications:

• Hold a current P&C Insurance license with focus on Commercial Accounts
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in P&C insurance sales and service
• Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
• Thorough technical knowledge of various insurance forms and risk alternatives
• Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures
