We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team at Whittlesey Landscape Supplies. You will be joining a team that is passionate about and committed to providing the highest quality care to our customers and other members of our team. We are rapidly growing in the state of Texas, which is entirely a byproduct of our awesome team members!

Summary/Objective

Promotes, sells, secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship based approach.

Essential Functions

• Greeting customers
• Generating invoices
• Cash/credit card/check handling
• Answering phones and taking orders via the phone
• Learning and promoting products
• Estimating material needs
• Walking property with customers as needed
• Resolves customer problems and complaints

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, file or lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Position is 40 hours with possible overtime. Days off are Sunday and 1weekday, Saturday availability mandatory (unless granted in time off request).

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of work experience in a clerical support position.
• Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in a landscape field
