Use your strengths as a Business Planning Consultant at Wellmark:
About the role: Working alongside the Director of Payment Integrity and team leadership, you will be a crucial partner in building out and documenting the team’s strategic roadmap for the future. You will help facilitate and track the management of milestones in the development and implementation of comprehensive division business plans and tactics in alignment with corporate goals. You will analyze and effectively pull together data into visual presentations with the team and senior leadership. In addition, you will update internal policies and procedures, as well as SharePoint, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of team documentation. You also will serve as a subject matter expert within the team by assisting with escalated claims payment inquiries and influencing solutions.

Top candidates will also have data visualization skills and/or payment integrity experience at a health insurance organization.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or direct and equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of formal or informal project leadership experience; proactively develops and manages multiple projects while demonstrating accountability, commitment, and a track record of success.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills. Works well under pressure while remaining flexible, open to feedback and focused during unanticipated challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop materials, resources, and documentation. Effectively presents information and facilitates discussions with diverse stakeholder audiences, including leaders.
- Thinks critically; is attentive to details, analyzes information, evaluates workflows/processes, and recognizes interdependencies.
- Strong consulting and interpersonal skills. Effectively builds relationships, influences project progress, and promotes collaboration and teamwork.
- Creative approach to problem solving. Learns and applies new project management methodologies.
- Strong technical acumen, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Formal project leadership experience
Additional Information
a. Participate in the ongoing development, monitoring and reporting of comprehensive division plans and tactics that align with corporate strategy and will incorporate the necessary process structure to drive successful execution of the plan.
b. Create a roadmap of all current/future initiatives and ensure it is continuously updated, monitored, and outcomes and deliverables communicated. Report on progress of initiatives as well as any additional work that supports the corporate plan.
c. Establish and maintain strong relationships with leaders across the division, department, and organization to support the execution of complex tactical and strategic initiatives.
d. Create and present data and information to key internal and external audiences to persuade and effectively tell the story.
e. Partner with leaders to regularly review division and department resource assignments and determine capacity to enable successful delivery of division and department priorities and core work. Research, analyze and identify constraints and adjust as necessary to ensure alignment to highest priorities.
f. Ensure successful coordination of department planning with regulatory/compliance work, overall project work, policy development and reporting.
g. Recognize escalations and mitigate risks. Develop documentation of risks, monitor, and maintain final disposition and records.
h. Other duties as assigned
