Title: Sales Development Professional

About McIntosh: About McIntosh: McIntosh Box & Pallet is a wooden packaging company that has been in business for over 61 years with 400+ employees across twelve locations. We have seven Plants in New York State, two in West Virginia, as well as plants in Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. We are experiencing growth and need to expand our team. We are searching for an individual to help us in Western and Central New York.
Main Purpose of Job: The Sales Development Professional will be an account executive role. We are looking for a results-driven self-starter to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. This individual should showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills. This role will act proactively to address customers’ needs and facilitate the sale process from beginning to the end. The Sales Development Professional will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. Ultimately, this role should contribute to an increase in sales and margin and maintain our company-customer relationships at a high standard.
Duties:
- Identify new potential customers
- Prospect for future business and locate product supply through various channels
- Sell products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers
- Maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales through periodic and timely follow-up
- Listen and learn customers’ unique needs and provide creative solutions to meet these
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers
- Quickly expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and promotional trends
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Manage, renew, and renegotiate terms with existing customers
- Review and prepare RFPs
Required Skills:
- Highly motivated with a strong interest in sales
- Hands on experience with customer service
- Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Strong relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Ability to grasp customers’ needs and to increase engagement
- Ability to learn industry and material knowledge to make informed decisions and solutions
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Willingness to use a CRM program
- Travel is required
