Full description of the position

Business Development Professionals at Larkin Express Logistics love the challenge of initiating new relationships, listening to customer requirements, and designing solutions with the assistance of our operations and account teams. This role focuses on winning new business as well as growing existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing sales strategies
• Cold calling, prospecting leads, and building new accounts from the ground up
• Providing day-to-day Customer Account Management
• Building rapport and relationships with Customers and team members
• Coordinating internal resources to meet Customer Needs
• Evaluating Customer Needs and promoting complimentary transportation services
• Providing Service and Price negotiations
• Utilizing McLeod software for account management and forecasting revenue
• Using agreed upon KPIs to measure and build upon successes

Qualifications:

• At least Two (2) years of Sales experience and account management
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Preferred knowledge of Trucking and 3PL Brokerage Operations
• Ability to travel greater than 25% of the time

This position is located in Buffalo, NY.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
