LUX Catering & Events is looking for an energetic, passionate, results-driven sales professional to join our team! LUX is an award-winning Catering and Event company located in SLC that creates memorable events with flawless execution. We are looking for a highly motivated, career-focused individual that has the ability to drive for new business while maintaining a structured sales team.
The Sales Manager will work with the Director of Events in overseeing, training, and supervising the LUX Event Producers (sales team) in all sales-related activities including direct sales efforts and follow-up for proper sales administration. The Sales Manager must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively. The Sales team will look to the manager to understand sales targets, expectations, and training requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ability to create and sustain positive synergy with the sales and management team.
- Ability to multi-task and work on a broad variety of projects.
- Manage a driven sales team to meet targets and expectations.
- Conduct sales trainings on new ways to drive business and maintain clientele.
- Develops strong customer and staff relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
- Responsible for working with clientele to provide professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of off-site events, monitoring the logistics of these events and all event-related tasks.
- Duties will include but not be limited to working with space requirements, scheduling of events, equipment rentals, tastings, menus, invoicing and theme concept/design.
- Ability to forecast revenue goals and sales targets.
- Strong organizational skills and a detailed follow-through.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and CRM systems
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in catering or event sales (offsite experience preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a management role.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Prior experience in hospitality or food and beverage
- Must have a strong knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
- Previous book of clients (preferred)
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with all types of clients and vendors.
