Insurance Personal Lines – Customer Sevice Representative - Job description:

We have an immediate full-time opening for a team-oriented, experienced personal lines customer service representative. This position will be responsible for the support of service and sales to existing and new businesses.

Insurance Personal Lines Job Responsibilities:

• Build, create and maintain relationships with existing clientele stabilizing the existing book of business with exceptional customer service.
• Achieve measurable growth in assigned book of business by welcoming and fostering opportunities to round out existing clients by identifying coverage gaps.
• Assist producers in the marketing, selling and retention of accounts.
• Create and maintain relationships with our insurance company partners.
• Prepare proposals, renewals, endorsements and confirmations to clients.
• Maintain files on Applied System Agency Management System
• Deliver superior customer service while adhering to guidelines and workflows
• Welcome the opportunity to assist our clients face-to-face when they walk-in.

Qualifications & Experience for Insurance Personal Lines Customer Service Representative:

• Prefer minimum 2 years’ experience in personal lines insurance.
• Strong computer skills – experience using Applied Systems Management a plus
• Confident communication skills, phone and in person in addition to electronic. Job requires communication with clients and carriers.
• Superior organizational and time management skills, an eye for detail, ability to prioritize and an ability to work independently
• Strong documentation skills and follow-through to facilitate working in a team environment.
• Self-motivating, client caring, and team oriented
• Current NY Individual Insurance license or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Industry recognized education, designations and membership to associations a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
