Sales Associate

Come join our team! We’re looking for a sales associate to support our two shops in downtown Golden. The position will work in both shops, Golden Sweets an ice cream and chocolate shop and Blue Moose Trading Company a boutique gift shop. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is ready to provide an exceptional customer experience. Come work in a in a fun, fast-paced environment!

Job Responsibilities:

Customer service – providing the customer with a great experience! Being happy, communicating and serving the customer.

Golden Sweets: Scoop ice cream cones/cups, make sundaes, milkshakes and custom chocolate boxes that are up to standards and directives. Have knowledge of products -ice cream flavors, chocolates varietals and use it to assist customer with purchases. Understand coupons and promotions to be able to answer customers questions.

Blue Moose Trading Company: Welcome and interact with customers. Have knowledge of products, associated stories, location and gift ideas, and share these with the customers. Understand shipping policies, coupons and promotions and be able to answer customer’s questions

Customer Transactions – Use POS system to correctly tally and scan all items being purchased. Process payments, give correct change and process credit cards.

Stocking and Cleaning -– Ensure items are stocked and be knowledgeable about backstock. Cleaning is a high priority in Golden Sweets – equipment and food surfaces must be spotless. Clean inside and outside tables, empty trash, wipe down displays.

Production/Receiving - Assemble chocolate boxes and specialty items for Golden Sweets. Assist with receiving and pricing of items in Blue Moose

Merchandising – Work to ensure displays and shop look neat and clean. Assist with creative ideas to make shops unique and fun!

The ideal candidate will be available weekdays. The position will primarily work as lead in Golden Sweets. We have several positions available and are looking for full and part time employees. Flexible scheduling available.

Candidates should be able to lift boxes up to 20lbs, stand for extended periods of time, enjoy working and interacting with the public on a regular basis. They should also possess strong attention to detail. We are a small company, and everyone shares the workload...staff and management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $12.56 - $14.00 per hour plus weekly pooled tips (ranges from $6-$11 per hour)
