Business Development Project Manager
JK Executive Strategies has partnered with a well-respected company in search of a Business Development Project Manager to join their Buffalo, New York team. The Project Manager’s mission is to represent the company’s in the sales and project management mode. They are to excel in working with prospects that are generated by all sources including their own. Establish a working relationship where they address all issues that prospect is trying to resolve, known, and yet to be discovered. The Project Manager will also use all resources to differentiate and win prospects business.

Responsibilities:
- Meet with and sell to prospects at their convenience. Project Managers are to be available weekdays, early evenings, and every other Saturday.
- Confer with Sales Manager to review metrics, product changes and application, and the use and improvement of sales techniques. Keeps Manager informed of difficult situations or selling obstacles, is open to selling strategy suggestions, as well as critique.
- Work “on call” for a one-week period in rotation with other salespeople, expected to respond 6:00AM-11:00PM 7 days.
- Tenaciously follow up with prospective clients, per established strategy.
- Achieve a minimum closing rate of 50%, and a net profit level of no less than 18%.
- Provide world class customer service to customers before, during, and after the sale.
- Attend and work all Home Shows.
- Attend all sales meetings and sales related functions.
- Assume total installation management of sold jobs.
- Spec accurate material and equipment for lists jobs, obtain required permits.
- Schedule delivery of equipment to job site.
- Work collaboratively with Installation teams with complete work sheet to prepare team for success.
- Collect full payment for jobs.
- Handle client’s post-installation questions and concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working in sales, construction, or HVAC, preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a dependable driving record, required.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Ability to perform assignments tasked.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
- Experience with customer-relationship management software.
- Knowledge of electronic mail software and video conferencing software.
- Energetic, entrepreneurial, and professional.
- Strong ability to follow through on projects.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with retail and/or outside sales.
- Successful sales experience within the local region.
- Ability to work as a team with service and installation technicians.
- Integrity: honest and ethical.
- Initiative: willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Cooperation: pleasant with others on the job, displays a good-natured, positive attitude.
- Dependability: reliable, responsible, able to fulfill obligations.
