Industrial Metal Supply, the Southwest's leading distributor of metal products and accessories, has expanded its presence in the Bay Area with our new San Jose facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hunter with B to B selling experience to develop a lucrative territory from Morgan Hill to San Francisco, Oakland and in between.

We are looking for someone with at least 5-years of Outside Sales experience who is experienced in building lasting customer relationships and is passionate about making meaningful contributions to our customer’s success. THE CHALLENGE

The Account Manager is able to partner effectively and efficiently with customers and company staff in driving market share and profitable revenue growth in line with the organization’s short and long-term growth objectives for their sales territory.

Tracks product, market and competitor trends; e.g., journals, leads, and conversations with industry professionals. Identifies key opportunities and potential business threats. Provides relevant information, as appropriate, to management, marketing, sales, purchasing, and warehouse staff, as well as customers.

Proactively prospects for new business; e.g. cold calls and leads. A “hunter” for new business opportunities effectively utilizing technology including the Internet and IMS business systems.

WHAT YOU BRING TO IMS

• 5+ years of Outside Sales experience selling to B to B. Metals industry or similar industry experience, a plus.
• Strong outlook for your growth path to move into a management role.
• Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated an understanding of the metals industry
• Knowledge of best practices related to sales and customer service
• Proven consultative selling skills
• Excellent technical computer skills. High level of knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Salesforce

REQUIREMENTS

• Four-year college degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Metal Sales, Metal Fabrication or Industrial Distribution Sales highly desired.
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have a personal-owned or leased vehicle that represents the company image in a positive manner.

SCHEDULE: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or as needed to complete the job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
