Job Title: Commercial Lines Account Manager

Reports To: Commercial Lines Manager/ Sales Manager

Summary: To ensure the smooth and efficient processing of client commercial line insurance renewals and new business by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for gathering needed information and risk management recommendations for the renewal of designated accounts no less than 30 days prior to renewal.
• Deliver renewals and or certificates for designated accounts within five days of receipt.
• Prepare and complete certificate requests and or endorsements within 48 hours of the request.
• Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency, and company personnel to minimize the potential for errors and omissions claims.
• Review renewals to determine if non-standard policies can be re-written in a standard program.
• Review existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited as part of an annual renewal review. Provide price quotes and insurance policy information as necessary.
• Conduct periodic service calls for designated accounts and actively solicit increases in limits and/or coverage.
• Follow-up on outstanding claims and provide assistance in their resolution as needed making sure to document all material conversations with the insured and or carrier.
• Receives phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and or requests for new policies. Change requests must be processed within 48 hours.
• Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit new business prospects; follows up to generate new business using prospect databases and automation system.
• Receives and reviews all terminations and cancellations to determine action required within 72 hours of receipt.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior work related experience helpful.

Certifications/Licenses:

Must possess or acquire a MA Property and Casualty License within six months of employment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
